In the last years of the twentieth century several ambitious architectural projects were undertaken in the city of Cuenca , one of the most emblematic being this singular building designed by J.M. de García de Paredes and I. García de Pedrosa, which was inaugerated in 1994 and is considered one of the most important modern architectural landmarks in the city.
The building is placed next to the Huécar Gorge seemingly set into the side of the mountain behind it. Inside there are wide passageways, a cafeteria and two concert rooms: one with a capacity for 190 and the other for 736, both which can be adapted for all kinds of different performances. |
